Job Role: NEW Senior SSRS/Crystal Report

Location : Remote US 

Top Skills needed/REQUIRED: 

Strong SSRS experience 

Strong T-SQL experience 

Previous experience being apart of a crystal reports to SSRS reporting migration (this includes sub reports and experience with versions 2012 to 2019)

Strong Crystal Reports experience 

Great communication 

Extensive experience with stored procedures

o **Healthcare experience is a nice to have, not a must

o **Preferred/bonus skills experience: Knowledge of C# and experience building Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

 

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Software Developer 3 will be a member of an Agile software development team (Scrum or Kanban) in the PHP Information Services (IS) Department. As senior software developer they will be expected to work well within their agile team, foster collaboration, mentor teammates and other members of the IS Department, and provide opinion and expertise on technical issues all while embracing Agile Principles and Values.

 

The Software Developer 3 performs a variety of technical administration, development, and support functions for Information Services. Works with customers, vendors, consultants and other Information Services staff in performing their duties. On-call support is a requirement for any Developer position. Developers are required to provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis.

Learning new processes, technologies, areas of the business, etc. quickly to solve complex business problems.

• Working as an effective team member in an Agile Scrum or Kanban team.

• Providing technical expertise and mentoring to their fellow Agile team members and members of other teams.

• Gather and analyze complex business requirements.

• Specify and implement technical plans for complex solutions.

• Combine business and technical knowledge to gain agreement and implement solutions within cross-functional teams.

• Verify correctness of software using manual and automated testing strategies.

• Verify performance of software using load testing and other strategies.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow enterprise defined change control standards.

• Provide peer review for change control.

• Provide advice regarding choices for tools and technical approaches.

• Contribute to technical standards and guidelines.

• Document departmental process workflows, systems designs, and procedures.

• Provide technical details, guidance and assistance during story planning and refinement.

• Break down Features into well-structured User Stories that provide business value with achievable acceptance criteria. Each User Story should provide business value to the customer or stakeholder. Vertical slicing of deliverables should be done to facilitate delivery of high priority requirements and functionality first.

• Provide relevant project status documentation that communicates clearly to all levels of technical and non-technical staff.

• Provide peer review and mentorship to other technical staff at all levels.

• Consider business needs within the context of technical and procedural standards when designing systems and planning changes.

• Proactively manage system availability and performance to meet business needs.

• Proficient using Microsoft productivity software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio.

JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

 

• Data processing/Microsoft SQL Server:

• Create and maintain data processing applications using Microsoft SQL Server.

• Design relational data models.

• Resolve performance issues.

• Create and maintain ETL and other data processing packages using Visual Studio/SSIS/ Informatica.

 

• Reporting applications:

• Create and maintain complex reports using Crystal Reports and SSRS.

• Create data sets supporting reports using SQL Server/SSIS/Informatica.

• C# as needed to support ETL transformations and reporting.
