Required Skills

• Java
• Data Structures, syntax and basic understanding of code development and OOPS concepts (will share screen)
• Spring Batch, real-time processing (team using 2,000 tps)
• Spring Boot
• Building out micro services and consuming them
• AWS EKS and ECS and how to build a cluster. How to build micro services within the cluster and how resiliency works and understanding of databases.
• Building a service that talks to a database. AWS API Gateway.
• Candidate must have modernization/migration AWS experience specifically in regard to big data and relational databases.
• Essentially, the team needs someone who has done this project before to share perspective and be a pioneer in defining the strategy for this modernization/migration effort.
• Relational databases and writing queries. Inner joins and outer joins.
• Kafka – data screening fundamental knowledge

Job Description

Looking for a strong Java developer to work at JPMC CCB within Card Pricing. The Card Pricing application works to determine statement at the end of each month, determine APR and fee structures, rewarding or penalizing clients. All card swipe computations are processed on this team.

The team comes from a mainframe background and needs a candidate to serve as a SME for this project to introduce more efficient options based on EXPERIENCE. Candidates must have modernization/migration AWS experience specifically in regard to big data and relational databases. Essentially, the team needs someone who has done this project before to share perspective and be a pioneer in defining the strategy for this modernization/migration effort. The team is currently ~5% migrated to AWS, and although they are trained on AWS, they are operating based on theoretical knowledge (AWS certification learning) rather than hands on experience, hence the need for a skilled AWS professional with database experience.
